Ludington tennis hosted Whitehall for a West Michigan Conference match at the Schoenherr Tennis Center in Ludington and defeated the Vikings on Wednesday, 5-3.

“Both teams played some really good tennis,” Ludington tennis coach Larry Brown said. “It was a very evenly matched game.”

Ludington won No.1 and No.2 singles and No.2, No.3 and No.4 doubles.

“The highlight of the competition was at one doubles; the match lasted three hours,” Brown commented. “Outlasting the match was Whitehall, by winning in three sets over Ludington. The third set ended up in a tough tiebreaker where Whitehall won it.”

The Orioles are now 4-0 in the West Michigan Conference.
